报告摘要:
Artificial intelligence(AI) research began in theoretical neurophysiology, and more recently we have witnessed its rapid progress and wide applications. While advanced sensor technologies enable imaging and visualising the diseases at molecular level and cellular level, the vast amounts of multimodal imaging data pose a clear and tremendous demand on automated computing, analysis and quantification methods to gain more complete insights and better understanding of disease for personalized precision medicine. In this talk, we share our artificial intelligence research initiatives aiming to assist diagnostic, prognostic and predictive analysis of diseases, with a focus on brain diseases. Human brain diseases, representing distinct system states beyond the normal spectrum, may differ in functional and in structural terms as well. We present our AI methods for detection and segmentation of cells and lesions/tumors, and whole-slide image(WSI)analysis with hope to aid neuropathological research and practice.
