Professor Lucy Cha Yu, from The Pennsylvania State University, visited the School of Information of Science and Engineering from May 24 to May 27, 2012.She is the professor of Health and Human Development Institute, she did lots of research on health and function situation, psychological pressure, the quality of life among elderly people.

Lucy Cha Yu gave a lecture distributed to Neural Networks and Education, and explained the set-up of memory network. in detail. Also, she introduced the education mode of American colleges, and then gave some advices on effective studying. She suggested students to use associational memory, instead of mechanical memorizing.

After the lecture, Professor Francis T.S. Yu patiently answered every question of students. It takes 2 hours for the whole lecture, many students benefited a lot.
